[The Doctor's Deal of the Decade: Movie Meal Deal, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday = Buy two adult entrees and receive a free voucher for 2 to see a movie at the Atlantic 5 Cinemas the same night, across the street!]
So grab some ribs and then tickle your ribs with the latest Apatow flick. I don’t have much more to say. Just go.

Swish and dish, baby. Don’t just take it to the house, dine out at Dish in Red Bank. Double pump to double the deals during the week. Drop dimes elsewhere. Drop nickels here.
Put a little post on your toast and get the most out of Dish, self proclaimed “a restaurant.” Their identity is clear, and their deals are even clearer.
DEALS:
Take a time out Tuesday & Wednesday: 3 Course Price Fix, $25
Game plan: Grab some crispy spinach, combine it with your herb roasted free range chicken, and elect one of their desserts to your board of directors
Did you know?

The Atlantic Highlands Harbor boasts a variety of boats–Yachts on route to exotic destinations (not Atlantic Highlands), Fishing vessels readying their journey for the day’s catch, Jimmy’s first dingy, and Dad’s power boat. On a warm, summer evening, my family and I would walk down the planks, lick our ice cream, and enjoy this scene of boating bliss. It was heaven.
Since then, Dairy Queen has closed, and I have realized that drinking can be a nice past time as well. So check out the harbor, then head over to the Harborside Grill to reminisce about the days when you walked with your family, mint chocolate chip cone in hand.
DEALS:
Harborside Power Hour
Friday & Saturday:
9:30-10:30PM — $2 mixed drinks and drafts (domestic and imported)
10:30-11:30PM — $3 mixed drinks and drafts (domestic and imported)

Tiki Bar, dining area, saturday club night, crab dip. Depending on how you swing it, Windansea is either a “Jack of All Trades” or a restaurant/bar with Multiple Personality Disorder. So on on any given Saturday night, don’t be confused when you see your mom ragin’ out to the latest 70’s while you’re blastin’ brews at the bar with your bros. This place is an equal opportunity employer of fun–they do not discriminate.
And I like it. They may not have weekly deals during the weekdays, but I am happy to report they do on Saturdays–most around here don’t.
DEAL:
Saturday: $2.50 Budlight and Budweiser Bottles. My friend Colin is happy.
They also have Dos Equis on draft!, among, I think, a hundred other drafts. I am happy
Look out for their Winter Power Hour

Don’t be fooled by the marquee of One28 Bay. You will not find the latest showing of March of the Penguins here (Thankfully). If it’s dinner and brew you crave, this restaurant/bar in disguise can still provide a blockbuster.
Try One28 Bay– it might make your day. And ask for Rebecca, one of the sweetest bartenders around. If you are nice, she might tell you her secret Sangria recipe too (in Arabic).
DEALS:
Happy Hour, Monday-Saturday, 4-7:00PM. Sunday 12-7PM.
$2 Domestic Pints, $3 Import Pints, $2.50 Domestic Bottles, $3.50 Import Bottles, $3 House Wine, Well Drinks
Get some bar food too: Dozen Wings, Bar Pie, Mozz Sticks, each $6. Sundays only: Loaded Cheese Fries (cheddar, bacon, chives, sour cream) $5, Loaded Nacho’s, $8.
Thursday: Ladies night! Ladies drink cheap! $5 Martinis! Domestic Wines to House Drafts, $2-$3!
If it’s a movie you still want, check out Clearview Cinemas in Red Bank.

Whether you call it off the hook or at the moment,“off the bridge,” this Highlands porch on a perch is still off the chain. Civil engineering may have disrupted the traffic patterns, but it has not stopped the flow of Sangria (the best my dad proclaims).
Take a break from a long day at the beach, grab your beer of choice and watch your government dollars at work.
This bridge was certainly shovel ready, but are you ready for the deals?!
DEALS:
Happy Hour, Monday-Thursday, 3-8:00PM. Friday, 4-7:00PM.
$.50-$1 off everything
Wednesday: Sangria night. Pitchers, $15 at the bar.
Thursday: Corn hole toss, win prizes! Drinks! $2 Domestic Drafts, 10pm until close

DEALS:
Sunday: Win a Beach Cruiser bike for the kid! Grab a $3.50 Summer Beer on Tap (Blue Moon, Sams) for yourself
Some gypsy jacked my stellar blue/green Mongoose mountain bike when I was in 6th grade. That moment still haunts me to this day– dad talking to the law; the law patting me on the head as tears began to flow from my cheeks. To say the least, this little Dr. in residence was quite sad. I mean, my dad eventually bought me a sweeter bike, but those days on the Mongoose were unforgettable. Don’t let this happen to you kids. Stock up on bikes.
Start by going to Murray MacGregor’s and winning one on Sundays.
Ride on

[The Doctor Prescribes: THURSDAY, $5 Appetizers! $5 Martinis (that's deal-a-rific)]
Without fail, there is always a pretty, brunette taking reservations at the Quay front desk. My friend was convinced that she was the most beautiful thing on the planet. She was gorgeous.
He decided to tell her that and proceeded to give her my number. What a guy. You may think this story is lame and has no relevance. You’re right. But for kids who watch Weeds and blog all the time, it was a big deal– we did it. We tried to flatter a girl; we climbed Mt. Eve(b)rest.
I will probably end up redoing this post. But for those lucky ones, you got a little glimpse into my struggling love life. Now here are some deals ya filthy animal.
DEALS:
Happy Hour, 4-7:00PM, Monday-Friday, $3Drafts, $3 Well Drinks (most are $4 around here. nice)
Wednesday: Do KARAOKE! on the river
Thursday: Do Shots with the Jazz Lobsters! Truthfully, enjoy some great jazz with your $19.95 entree and dessert combo. $5 Appetizers! $5 Martinis (that’s deal-a-rific)
Friday, Saturday, Sunday– Not so much a pure deal, but a nice find. Tune up your ears for Barbara Rose and her sultry voice. Jazz standards never sounded so smooth.
The hostess never called me. But seriously, if anyone’s interested, I’m a good time.

[4/5 Doctors Recommend -- Wednesday: Buy one burger($8 for cheese), get the second 1/2 off]
This place is like the Wonderland of deals–young, fun, a little zany, and full of riddles. Like, who is that guy who is always having more fun than anyone else on Tuesday Karaoke nights? It is inspiring.
Basically, The Hatter is the summer place to be. With a backdoor bar, main, indoor bar, and a family dining room to the side–the Mad Hatter accommodates all. Find your deals, find your friends, and find all the other local bartenders taking a reprieve from their hard night’s work. In today’s economy, taking a break at The Hatter keeps us all from going a little mad.
DEALS:
Monday: $1 off Margaritas, Corona, Corona Light, Sol, 3 Beef Tacos, $6.95
Tuesday: KARAOKE! Buy one large pizza ($12 for large plain), get the second 1/2 off.
Wednesday: Buy one burger($8 for cheese), get the second 1/2 off
Thursday: Buy one entree ($14-30), get the second 1/2 off, Guinness Pints $5 All Day long.
I think there are more deals. I’ll return. Anyone know for sure? Anyone have any silly stories from the Hatter?

Another staple by the sea, the Ocean Avenue Grill has a new chef and a new event on Tuesdays — a Magician. And his name is Kurt. Honestly, where can you find a magician anywhere around here? Especially the kind who can bust aces out of his torso or pull a beer out of his hat. I was so excited by the prospect of a Magician, I almost forgot about the deals. Let me conjure some up for you now.
DEALS:
Happy Hour, Monday- Friday, 4-9:00PM
$1.75 Draft Mugs, Miller Light, Coors Light, YUENGLING !
$4 House wines by glass
$4 Well Drinks (bottom shelf liquor. didn’t know that phrase until a few days ago)
TUESDAY: Kurt The MAGICIAN!!! 6-9:00PM Bring the kids! Don’t bring the kids! Whatever! Come for the magic! Kids 12 and under eat for free. Limit, 2 kids per 1 adult. Big families need not apply.
